This was another travel day where we took it easy. We slept in a bit and packed up our things before checking out of our hotel. We went down to the village to shop for a bit. Mallory was looking for a souvenir stuffed marmot, but no luck in finding one.
For lunch we went for pizza, and then hit the road en route to Vancouver. We drove the famous Sea to Sky highway, though of course we were doing it in reverse (but Sky to Sea just doesn’t have the same ring to it!) It is indeed as beautiful as they say – here’s the scenery from one of the places where we stopped to admire the view:

We also made a stop en route at the Squamish Adventure Centre.
We got into Vancouver mid-afternoon and checked into our hotel:

Then it was time to get out on foot and explore the city with the daylight we had left. We started out at Sunset Beach Park and from there wandered down to English Bay. Chad and Liam went for a quick swim and waterslide here.

We had hoped to check out some float plane action, but by now it was too late; the flights cease operation at 8 pm. We made a note to try earlier tomorrow, and called it a night.
