Not much to report on this day, because we had a driver pick us up at Tulemar at 7 a.m. to get us back to San Jose to make our 12:30 pm flight. We did see monkeys in trees outside our bungalow again before we left this morning, which was a nice note to end on. We got to the airport with lots of time to spare. The lineup to pay the departure tax was incredibly long, but moved really quickly. Check in and security didn’t take long. We were dismayed by the price of the food at the airport, but had lunch there anyway. Then it was onto the plane to Miami, a 2.5 hour layover there, another 3 hours to Detroit, and we pulled into our driveway around 1 a.m. with the best trip of all time in the books.
